Financial Governance Systems Architecture
map of all the systems and processes and how they're linked
Speech Abstract
Financial management and resource governance encompasses a variety systems and processes, and all must be integrated to produce the intended benefits. The pieces of the puzzle include catalogs, planning and budgeting, rate-setting, portfolio management, commitment tracking, time reporting, infrastructure utilization, invoicing, revenue accounting, and management dashboards.
This session provides a high-level architecture which shows the list of systems, and how they're linked through data flows. It will help you take stock of what systems you have, and which are missing. It'll help you plan how all those systems are to be integrated. It will generate insights on your next steps in the development of your suite of finance solutions. And it will help you evaluate vendor offerings, and understand what they do (and don't) offer, and where they might fit in your financial-management plan.
