The amount of consulting time you'll sell varies with the client's goals:

Consulting Days by Level of Cost Model

Level 1: TRANSPARENCY - Typical Consulting Sales: 26 billable days over 25 weeks

Level 2: FAIR ALLOCATIONS - 26 billable days over 28 weeks

Level 3: DEMAND MANAGEMENT - 29 billable days over 32 weeks

Level 4: ACCURACY - 31 billable days over 37 weeks

Level 5: RATES - 34 billable days over 42 weeks

FullCost implementation involves the steps listed below. The estimates of billable consulting days are for a full Level 5 implementation.

Throughout the process, clients actively participate and make their own decisions while you teach, coach, and facilitate. You may sell additional consulting if you're asked to help managers prepare their inputs.
