Symptom: While most of the organization is highly productive, a few specific functions within the organization are not working well.

If dissatisfaction is isolated to a particular function within the organization (rather than more widespread), then consider which function is not meeting expectations. But don't blame the people... not until you have examined the potential systemic reasons that would cause the best people in unhealthy jobs to fail.


Symptom: The client-liaison (internal "Sales") function is not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: The marketing function is not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: The customer service, or help desk function is not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: The product/project development function (Engineering) is not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: The Standards Coordinator function is not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: The operations functions are not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: The training function is not sufficiently effective.

Symptom: Internal support services are not sufficiently effective.
