Symptom: People don't have time to do what's right.

People may know what they need to do to better serve their customers, but just not have the time to do it. Time is always limited. An organization must be sure its scarce time is going to the most valuable purposes. And serving customers must always be near the top of the list.


Symptom: The organization tries to be responsive, but is understaffed and can't take the time to listen to each customer.

Symptom: People are so busy with administrative or other less important tasks that they don't have time to spend doing their real jobs.

Symptom: People are not given enough time to do projects well.
