Symptom: Clients complain that the organization is unresponsive, or that the its products are not delivered in a timely fashion.

Clients know what they want. And they do make an effort to explain it to their suppliers. But an organization may not fully understand. Similarly, a client may not fully understand their commitments in order to make the relationship work. A mutual understanding of each party's commitments is called a "contract."


Symptom: The organization does not respond quickly to clients' inquiries.

Symptom: The organization makes unrealistic promises, which, of course, it fails to fulfill (poor project estimating).

Symptom: The organization fails to fulfill even realistic promises.

Symptom: Clients keep asking for more and more, while holding the organization to its original promises of price and delivery date.
